AutoCAD is one of the most widely used and reliable software solutions for technical drawing and design in the world. Developed by Autodesk, it is used across many industries such as architecture, construction, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, surveying, cartography, and many other fields that require precise technical documentation.
In this course, participants will master work in a 2D environment, learn how to create professional technical drawings, organize projects, properly dimension elements, and prepare documentation for printing in accordance with technical standards.
Special emphasis is placed on developing practical skills that enable faster, more accurate, and more efficient design compared to traditional technical drawing methods. AutoCAD provides an exceptionally high level of precision, easy modifications to existing drawings, and professional preparation of complete project documentation.
2D – Two-dimensional mode
In “paper” mode, workspaces represent independent sheets with no connection between them, so they are used in the way typical of traditional paper-based drafting for drawing two-dimensional projections and sections. Such projections are flat, meaning they cannot be rotated in space and do not have a variable viewing angle. Each sheet can display a different object or another element of a complex object whose corresponding drawing is also contained in one or more workspaces. The set of workspaces in “paper” mode represents AutoCAD’s paper space (engl. paper space). Views and projections of a three-dimensional model cannot be activated in paper space, and objects drawn in paper space are not displayed at all in the three-dimensional modeling space.
